Lithuania

Lithuania has become a fintech gateway in the Baltics and, for a time, one of Europe's easiest places to register a crypto business. Bitcoin is legal, but not legal tender, and the euro remains the official currency. Service providers have had to register with the financial-crime watchdog since 2020, and supervision has shifted to the Bank of Lithuania under EU-wide MiCA. Gains on bitcoin are taxed at 15%. Vilnius hosts meetups and a small but active community. Use this map to find the Lithuanian places where you can spend sats.
