Botswana

Botswana has a small but growing Bitcoin community, underpinned by one of Africa's more stable economies and high mobile-money use. Bitcoin is legal, but not legal tender, and the pula remains the official currency. The central bank and the non-bank regulator have warned that crypto is not legal tender and carries risk, and the country has been working on a framework to supervise service providers. Adoption remains modest and peer-to-peer. Gaborone and Francistown host occasional meetups. Use this map to find the Botswana places where you can spend sats.
