Armenia has a strong tech and engineering base, and Bitcoin has found a small but growing following in Yerevan and beyond. Bitcoin is legal, but not legal tender, and the dram remains the official currency. The central bank has cautioned that crypto is not recognised or regulated, and there is no dedicated licensing framework, so adoption remains mostly peer-to-peer.
