Poland
Poland has one of Europe's largest networks of bitcoin ATMs and a fast-growing merchant scene, particularly in its bigger cities. Bitcoin is legal, but not legal tender, and the złoty remains the official currency. Providers must register for anti-money-laundering purposes with the tax administration, and gains on bitcoin are taxed at a flat 19%. The country also has a large and vocal Bitcoin community, with regular meetups in Warsaw, Kraków and Wrocław. From the Baltic coast to the Tatra mountains, bitcoin-accepting businesses are spreading.
