Lebanon
Lebanon's banking crisis, which erupted in 2019, pushed many people toward Bitcoin as the lira collapsed and dollar withdrawals were frozen. Bitcoin is not legal tender, and there is no dedicated licensing framework. The central bank has warned against crypto and does not recognise it, but enforcement has been limited, and peer-to-peer trading grew as a way to receive remittances and protect savings. Beirut hosts a small but determined Bitcoin community. Use this map to find the Lebanese places where you can spend sats.
