Laos
Laos has strict currency and capital controls, and the central bank has warned against crypto while running a limited mining and trading pilot. Bitcoin is not legal tender, and the kip remains the official currency. Hydro-rich and eager for foreign currency, Laos has experimented with licensed crypto mining, but enforcement against illicit operations is a growing focus; everyday adoption remains minimal.
